Dr. Crain is thrilled to be joining the team at the TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Centers of Wisconsin. As a 2020 graduate from Marquette University School of Dentistry, he worked as a general dentist for 4 years in North Carolina before completing a 2-year certificate program in Orofacial Pain at the University of Minnesota in 2026. During this residency, he had the opportunity to diagnose and treat a wide range of orofacial pain conditions, including temporomandibular disorders (TMD), neuropathic pain, and headaches. Another large part of his practice is the management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using oral appliances.
Since orofacial pain is frequently complex, Dr. Crain values working in an interdisciplinary manner, often collaborating with general dentists and dental specialists, physical therapists, mental health providers, neurologists, neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, rheumatologists, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and sleep medicine physicians, among others. He takes a conservative and evidence-based approach to treatment, which often consists of patient education, physical therapy, oral appliances, various injection-based therapies, and medication management. Dr. Crain is invested in his patients’ well-being and always includes them in the decision-making process, ensuring that their interests are always at the forefront of treatment.
Dr. Crain has lived much of his life in Wisconsin and is excited to be returning home to serve the communities in which he was raised. He looks forward to starting in the team’s existing offices in the Milwaukee area, as well as supporting their eventual expansion westward to Madison.
Outside of the clinic, he and his wife, Natalie, stay busy with a 3-year-old daughter, family, and friends. He enjoys spending time hiking, snowboarding, playing golf, biking, and traveling. He is a lifelong fan of the Packers, Bucks, Brewers, and Badgers, and picked up fandom for the Carolina Hurricanes while living there.
